There's More To Gully Boy Than The First Part Says Zoya Akhtar

The filmmaker recently also announced that she would be more than happy to make a sequel to her recent hit Gully Boy.

Gully Boy is doing brisk business at the box office and not surprisingly Ranveer Singh and Alia Bhatt are riding high on the success of the same. The film, based on the life of street rappers, has swooned people and the filmmaker couldn't be happier about it. Will it be with Ranveer as Murad fighting his struggles as an established actor, or has Zoya something else cooking in her creative mind? He weaves the inequalities and injustices he sees in society and his own home into the lyrics of his song and becomes a sensation.

While Zoya Akhtar's Gully Boy has nearly exhausted his theatrical run at the domestic market, the musical drama is still managing to keep the cash counters busy in the worldwide circuit. In a recent interview, director Zoya Akhtar confirmed the same and mentioned that the film's second part is being scripted.
