Halo Infinite won’t skip Xbox One, confirms O’Connor

In an interview with CBS News' 60 Minutes, Microsoft's head of 343 Industries, Halo's Bonnie Ross, talked about the challenges of gender equality in the games industry and solutions to bring more women on board in development. During this interview, it was also revealed that at one time, Halo 4 nearly went to Gearbox.

We have all heard recent rumors saying that Microsoft's Halo Infinite is going to skip Xbox One as one of the next-gen titles.

These rumors were shot down by Halo Franchise Director himself.

Judge to Allow Cameras at Next Court Hearing for Jussie Smollett
The next day, the show's producers announced that Smollett's character had been written off the final two episodes of the show. A spokeswoman for Smollett's attorneys says the actor is expected to attend Tuesday's hearing in Cook County criminal court.

The studio is looking to use Halo Infinite as a "spiritual reboot" for the franchise. However, another possibility is that "Halo Infinite" could be launched alongside the next-generation console while also being playable on earlier platforms. So then, what could this big news be? The Slipspace Engine, which debuted with the reveal of Infinite a year ago, has been a long time coming according to Ross.

Be sure to tune into the next episode of Inside Xbox on Tuesday, March 12 at 2pm PT/5pm ET via Mixer, or the Xbox Facebook, Twitter, and YouTube accounts to find out just what Microsoft has in store for Halo: The Master Chief Collection, Game Pass and more. It's super hard for creatives to work in. Best-laid plans ... we didn't do that.

"So I think we have a more diverse team than in the past, which I think the team actually really appreciates". Though 343 seems content with laying low for now, at least we have confirmation that they will have tons of newness to show fans come June when E3 kicks off. And, it could be that 343's struggles with the complexity of the current engine were to blame. If a game looks like it will release in 2020, should we expect it to be pushed to more powerful consoles?
