While everyone in Pittsburgh is waiting for the Antonio Brown dominoes to fall, general manager Kevin Colbert is working the phones.

The Cards have agreed to acquire offensive tackle Marcus Gilbert from the Pittsburgh Steelers in exchange for a sixth-round pick, NFL Network Insider Ian Rapoport reported. The Pittsburgh Post Gazette suggests if the franchise can't find a trade destination for Gilbert, he could be released to save almost $5 million on the final year of his contract. That is the final year of his deal. The move has not been announced and is therefore not official - trades can not be officially consummated until the start of the new league year, which is also the beginning of free agency March 13 (Wednesday) at 1 p.m. Arizona time.

Pittsburgh drafted a replacement for Gilbert past year in Western Michigan's Chukuma Okorafor in the third round of the 2018 NFL Draft.

I'm still just like this is insane , I can't believe this is my life and this is happening. "We're coming from a genuine place". That being said, no one was really surprised when he chose to gush over his wife, Hailey Baldwin on social media.

When free agency begins next month, it would appear that they no longer need to address tackle in free agency.

He joins an offensive line that was one of the worst in the National Football League in 2018, and included D.J. Humphries, John Wetzel, Korey Cunningham, Andre Smith and Blaine Clausell at the tackle spot. After drafting Chuk Okorafor last offseason, Pittsburgh keeps two right tackles on the roster moving into 2019.

The low compensation signals the Steelers were ready to release Gilbert had they not found a trade partner. He pairs with D.J. Humphries to form a competent tackle duo, which is saying a lot given the state of the offensive line a year ago. He also played his first two years in the league for offensive line coach Sean Kugler, who is now the Cardinals' offensive line coach.
