After suffering a sprained ankle in a collision with New York Knicks centre Mitchell Robinson Monday night, Toronto Raptors All-Star guard Kyle Lowry made it clear that he was not too pleased with the rookie's role in the incident.
Mitchell Robinson isn't thrilled about Kyle Lowry suggesting that he's a dirty player. Trainers swiftly helped him walk - very gingerly - right to the locker room, and he did not return.
"I watched the clip, think it was a little bit dirty - he grabbed me, pulled me down, but he's a young kid so I don't know if he did it on objective or not, but I think he'll learn his lesson next time and [he'll] be a little bit more careful". "I think you can look around the league and it's kinda going around a little bit". He grabbed me and pulled me down but he's a young kid ... "But he's a young kid, so I don't know if he did it in on goal or not. He's a young kid so I don't know if he did it on objective or not, but I think he'll learn his lesson next time and be a little bit more careful".
Allonzo Trier had 22 points to top the Knicks (14-57). NY fell to an NBA-low 14-57, a squad just hoping for a top draft pick when the season is over.
"It's unfortunate, but let's get them all out of the way now and in a month and a half hopefully we'll all be good to go". "We took one on the chin tonight".
The Raptors have dealt with injuries throughout the season along with having Kawhi Leonard miss games, including Monday's, due to load management. Leonard scored 33 points in Sunday's loss at Detroit.
Siakam's dunk with 6:08 to play in the third quarter put the Raptors ahead by 34 points. Instead, Lowry may be forced to miss at least one of this week's two games against Oklahoma City.
HEAT 116, THUNDER 107: Goran Dragic had 26 points and 11 assists, Dwyane Wade added 25 points and Miami won at Oklahoma City.

The group was turned away, officers say 19-year-old Jaylene Westfall attacked two of the people who lived at the house. Eyewitnesses have also indicated that after Difiore was struck by the officer, she was hit by the stun gun's prongs.
"I'll be doing some treatment all night, trying to get myself healthy and try to get back and not be out long", Lowry said.
The Raptors produced their highest-scoring half of the season and had a 73-54 lead at the intermission.
The Raps shot a red-hot 82.4 per cent from the field in the first quarter Monday, led by flawless shooting from Gasol, VanVleet and Green.
"I just want to keep finding guys minutes, to continue to polish and expand our defensive coverages, we've got some shoring up to do on some of those".
The Raptors led by 34 points during the third quarter and were up by 32 entering the fourth. Fizdale said G Frank Ntilikina will be reevaluated Tuesday. Toronto is 15-5 without Leonard.
The Raptors are pretty securely locked into second place with 11 games to go after last night's tilt with the Knicks. The manner in which he was injured only makes it that much harder to swallow.
Toronto is 8-0 at home against Atlantic Division opponents. Their last home defeat to a division opponent was a November 10, 2015, loss to the Knicks.
