Marcus Rashford and Paul Pogba ‘vital’ to United, says Ole Gunnar Solskjær

As Ole Gunnar Solskjaer celebrated his first match in charge as permanent manager, the win lifted United to fourth in the standings, one point above the Gunners. They did that in Paris Saint-Germain against superior players - but they did it against Watford, too, United's much improved defence soaking up early pressure.

United have performed excellently under the Norwegian but they remain a country mile behind Liverpool and Manchester City in all areas and the work this summer is going to need to be successful if that gap is going to start to be closed.

Solskjaer scarves were selling well as fans descended on Old Trafford, where the newly-appointed manager used his programme notes to thank everyone from family to fans for their support. Central midfielders Abdoulaye Doucoure and Etienne Capoue were superior to their opposites.

"But they are not far away, this is a team that is in the Champions League quarter-final so it is not wholesale changes, just a player here and there".

United had nothing to offer in attack until a superb low pass from Luke Shaw from his own half split Watford's defense and found Rashford, who capped the move with a clean finish.

Her arraignment and pretrial conference is set on April 10. "This is not the Philippines I voluntarily chose as my home country". She wants to be treated differently - that can not be done.

The futures of Spain duo Ander Herrera and Juan Mata are less clear cut.

The United squad is riddled with average players after years of miss management in the transfer market and that has to stop if they are to get back to the sharp end of the Premier League table any time soon.

United defender Luke Shaw was equally unimpressed with his side's efforts, as he didn't hold back in his criticism after a nervy display at Old Trafford. "It's hard to explain [how we lost the game]", Gracia said.

"I didn't think about it [being a manager] when I was a player, until I got my bad injury, then I had the three years where I thought I needed to be a coach", Solskjaer said, per Mirror. "But after we scored, we played some great counter-attacking stuff".

United had stumbled out of the blocks with Watford hungrier and more determined to get a win than their hosts. "That's our aim as a club to be achieving what we have done in the past and that is the expectation here and of course we are hoping to build a team strong enough and worthy of the history of the club".
