Mercedes-AMG S 65 Final Edition: Another V12 Discontinued

Limited to a production run of 130, the S65 Final Edition will be sold exclusively in a high gloss black. Mercedes hasn't given any figures for the operation of the roof, but it'll presumably match other drop-tops in the AMG GT range, meaning it'll take 11 seconds to raise or lower at speeds of up to 30mph. Each vehicle will get an AMG Indoor auto Cover.

Each one will carry a high-gloss obsidian black paint finish, 20-inch multi-spoke wheels, air inlet grilles in matt bronze and an AMG emblem on the C-pillar.

There's also yellow brake calipers, rear-wheel steering, wider tracks (+57mm at the rear), active aerodynamics systems, a fixed rear wing, AMG Performance seats in nappa leather, AMG-specific displays in the 12.3-inch driver's display and 10.25-inch infotainment screen, an AMG Performance steering wheel in microfibre, adjustable AMG Traction Control that can be configured on the steering wheel, and the AMG Performance sports exhaust system. A "1 of 130" badge adorns the center console - a reminder to your passengers of this four-door's exclusivity. The Final Edition's bow at the Geneva auto show is a clue that an all-new S-class must be just around the corner.

Power comes from a naturally aspirated V-6-which of course it doesn't, we just wanted to see if you were paying attention.

Giants' Saquon Barkley feels Trace McSorley was disrespected at NFL Combine
National Football League teams can make requests for players to work at other positions during the combine. The request was met with disbelief by one of McSorley's former Nittany Lions teammates.

The S65's 6.0-liter V12 produces 621 horsepower and 738 pound-feet of torque, and can propel this big boy to 60 miles per hour in 4.1 seconds. Although that proved to be slower than the V-8-powered S63 sedan, there's just something about the V-12's signature resonant warble that causes goosebumps even at idle.

Every Final Edition model will come fully loaded, with every option package now available on the S65.

Mercedes-AMG hasn't announced pricing for the Final Edition, but it won't be cheap: A similarly equipped standard S65 runs nearly $240,000.
