Referring to the recent simmering tensions between India and Pakistan, Qureshi said that prime minister Khan reaffirmed that "Islamabad will take two steps if New Delhi takes one".

Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi has said that the topmost priority of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) government is to revitalize the national economy.

Pakistan has assured the USA that it would deal "firmly" with all terrorists operating from the country, and take steps to de-escalate tensions with India, according to National Security Advisor John Bolton.
