There have been some notably bad updates automatically foisted upon Windows 10 users in recent history, but when bad things happen Windows can often automatically recover, or users can pop into safe mode and dig out the offending software/update. If this issue occurs, then Windows will not attempt to re-install the update for 30 days, giving Microsoft time to fix any lingering issues.

Microsoft previously revealed that users will eventually have access to full Windows 10 Android smartphone mirroring via its Your Phone app.

Microsoft is starting to test new features for its Your Phone app, with phone screen mirroring now rolling out in limited preview for select devices.

This update will be downloaded and installed automatically from Windows Update.

The company will remove Windows Updates on its own if it detects that your computer recently recovered from a startup failure.

Today's updates are so far only available for Windows 10 April 2018 Update (version 1803), but we expect to see patches arriving for more versions later today.

We've all been through this dejecting situation; and as it turns out, you could be experiencing it again if you update your system to the latest OS update from Microsoft.

It works via the Microsoft-created Your Phone mobile app, which is designed to help Android smartphones link to Windows 10 PCs. As a result, you're getting fixes related to Microsoft Edge and Internet Explorer browsers, the Windows kernel, and the Windows Scripting engine.
