He said his mother threw a water bottle into the cage to distract the animal long enough so that he could pull the woman away.

The employee then described her breathing as "all right", saying she is in her 30s.

Officials with Wildlife World Zoo said in a statement that a guest was injured by a female jaguar at the zoo in Litchfield Park, not far from Phoenix.

According to witnesses on the scene - one of which captured a video of the woman writhing in pain after the jaguar clawed at her arm - the incident began when the unidentified woman climbed over a federally-regulated concrete wall that helps to keep a safe distance between the animal cage and the spectators.

According to a statement from the zoo on Twitter, the woman approached the zoo's jaguar exhibit on Saturday and "crossed over the barrier to get a photo" with the big cats.

"When my mom put the water bottle through the gate, the jaguar let go of the girl".

Real Madrid star, Marcelo , berated his teammates and clashed with Los Blancos captain Sergio Ramos in the training session. The club has chose to part ways with current coach Solari after a meeting between the Real board of directors.

"She won't be put down", the zoo wrote back. "Sending prayers to the family tonight".

"I hear this young girl screaming, 'help, help, help, ' and without thinking, I just run over there", Adam Wilkerson, who was at the zoo, told a local news station.

"When people do not respect the barriers, there's always a chance there might be a problem", zoo director Mickey Ollson said.

The zoo sent another message on Sunday, assuring the public that "nothing will happen to our jaguar", and adding that it's "not a wild animal's fault when barriers are crossed". "That happens occasionally. And we put substantial barriers there and if people cross them, they can get in trouble".

Gilleland said the woman, who was not publicly identified, was taken to a hospital with injuries that were not life-threatening.

Michele Flores was at the zoo with her son and grandkids when she saw the attack.
