Apple Music gets price cut in India

It was earlier priced at Rs 120.

It's unlikely that Apple will claim this as a victory because it, like Spotify, doesn't publicly break out regional subscriber counts.

Apple Music is growing in the U.S. between 2.6 percent to 3 percent each month, while Spotify is increasing at a slower month rate: 1.5 percent to 2 percent, according to the WSJ. The move comes hot on the heels of the launch of Spotify and YouTube Music in India.

In comparison, Spotify's annual subscription for the premium version now looks expensive; it costs Rs 1,189 for a year.

According to a report in The Wall Street Journal, the battle between Apple and Spotify continues to escalate. Music recommendation and discoverability is also far better on Spotify when compared to Apple Music.

Music streaming has grown up tremendously since its inception and is now among the best ways to listen to music.

Pixel 4 name dropped by Google employee, launch soon?
Back in October, Verizon officially ended sales of the smaller variant upon the announcement of the Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL. Most recently, for example, the phones joined the Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL by offering the first public taste of Android Q.

Which streaming service do you prefer?

After JioSaavn and Gaana recently reduced their subscription prices by a whopping 70 percent, Apple Music has now followed suit as well. The app reportedly offers its subscribers 14 localized radio stations as the company has partnered with all the known and popular music labels.

Apple Music has dethroned rival music streaming service Spotify in USA sales.

In March, Spotify filed an anti-trust complaint with the European Commission, citing "unfair" policies around its App store, which charges Spotify and other apps for purchases made through Apple's App Store.

Apple issued a response a day after Spotify's complaint and said the latter is spreading "misleading rhetoric". Considering this is the route most people choose to take, Apple Music likely won't be making headway in the Indian market any time soon.
