Big Ten opponents set for 2019-20



IL will get the full challenging experience in 2019-20, with the Big Ten announcing each team's conference opponents Wednesday afternoon.

Coach Steve Pikiell's squad will play two games apiece against Purdue (Tied for 1st in Big Ten in 2018-19), MI (3rd), Wisconsin (4th), Maryland (5th), Penn State (T-10th), IL (T-10th) and Nebraska (13th) during its 20-game Big Ten Conference schedule in 2019-20. The remaining 18 games will take place after the New Year. The Wolverines will also face Illinois, Iowa, Nebraska, Ohio State, Purdue, and Rutgers twice each.

Ohio State will play Minnesota, Indiana, Michigan, Penn State, Maryland, Wisconsin and Nebraska twice this next season in a home-and-home. Showing up just once on the league slate will be Maryland, Michigan, Northwestern and Rutgers at home, and Illinois, Michigan State, Penn State and Purdue on the road.

Iowa Sees First Case of Measles Since 2011
The individual was not vaccinated and had recently returned from Israel, where transmission of the illness is occurring. The Iowa Department of Public Health clarified that there is no indication of a threat to the public at this time.

The dates for the Big Ten matchups are not expected to be announced until August.

The men's Big Ten Tournament returns to Indianapolis' Bankers Life Fieldhouse March 11-15.
