Bucks beat Clippers but Antetokounmpo injured

Milwaukee Bucks small forward Giannis Antetokounmpo (ankle) was walking around the locker room with a significant limp after Thursday's 128-118 win over the Los Angeles Clippers.

Khris Middleton picked up the slack with a season-high 39 points. He's averaging 27.3 points, 12.6 rebounds, 6.0 assists, 1.3 steals, and 1.5 blocks per game on 58.1 percent shooting, with a player efficiency rating of 30.59 - numbers of historic order. But then they opened the game up with a big second quarter to stretch their lead out to 21 points, 67-46, at the half.

Antetokounmpo finished with 34 points as the Bucks (57-19) approached the fifth 60-win season in franchise history and the first since the 1980-81 team that went to the Eastern Conference finals. He remained on the Bucks' bench for the remainder of the affair but did not return to the court.

Clippers coach Doc Rivers was impressed with Antetokounmpo's play and joked that the Bucks star and Houston's James Harden should share the MVP award so "everybody in the world is happy".

Milwaukee has won four in-a-row and still leads Toronto by four games in the East with six to play.

Head to head, the over is 4-0 in the last four meetings in Milwaukee, the underdog is 4-1 ATS in the last five meetings and the Clippers are 5-2 ATS in the last seven meetings.

The latter fell to the ground after one punch, police said, and a witness immediately alerted facility personnel and police. On Saturday night, the LAPD said the incident was being labeled an assault, and was no longer considered an altercation.

Shai Gilgeous-Alexander led the Clippers with 21 points. Even after trading away their best player and making several other trade deadline deals, the Los Angeles Clippers have reason to celebrate after clinching a playoff berth.

Dragic, who has been slowed this season due to a knee injury, made his first start since December 10.

Eric Bledsoe also had a standout game with 23 points and seven assists in the win.

Wilson Chandler added 15 points as the Clippers (45-31) dropped one spot in the Western Conference standings into sixth place with six games remaining.

Injuries certainly hampered the L.A. Clippers as Lou Williams and Patrick Beverley missed out, but with their own fair share of injuries, the Bucks were engaged and on form from very early in the game, and they never really looked back. Tony Snell missed his second straight game with a left ankle sprain.
