The England worldwide was left out of Klopp's starting line-up at St Mary's but was introduced in the second half and had a major impact in securing a 3-1 victory that took Liverpool above Manchester City at the top of the Premier League.

But it may have just got that extra impetus out of him and taken Liverpool one step nearer to that elusive title.

"I suggested in my Sunday World column last month that the title race come down to goal difference between Liverpool and City and the closer we get to the end of this race, that scenario looks even more probable".

"Millie and Hendo were both really pumped up".

"He has been vital for the Netherlands and has helped us to reach the Nations League finals in June", Oranje head coach Ronald Koeman said a few days ago.
