Netflix renews 'The Umbrella Academy' for a second season

Get ready to enroll for another year at The Umbrella Academy. Netflix has given the anti-superhero series a second season, which will no doubt please fans of the series. It's a good thing The Umbrella Academy was renewed for season two, as the first installment ended on a cliffhanger of epic proportions.

But even without viewing figures released, we can guess that The Umbrella Academy has performed well enough to please the giant compu-brain to win a second season. We want to stay on course with what the comics are doing, ' showrunner Steve Blackman told THR.

"The Umbrella Academy" is based on the comic book series of the same name created and written by Gerard Way, illustrated by Gabriel Bá, and published by Dark Horse Comics. On top of that, there will also be new cast members that will be announced at a later date.
