Despite his resignation, Mr Dickson's name will still appear on the Senate ballot.

He resigned over the footage.

Senator Hanson then went on the offensive, accusing the Qatari-backed television news network Al Jazeera - which recorded the footage previous year - of trying to hurt her party three weeks out from the federal election. A major political party is both facilitating the electoral prospects of a white supremacist political organisation, and declaring how mainstream the views of that organisation are.

But Al Jazaera said A Current Affair published the footage without their consent.

"I wouldn't tolerate my own children behaving this way towards women and I can not and will not condone my own candidates dealing with women in this fashion either".

The video was recorded during an undercover investigation by Al Jazeera as part of the same operation which last month revealed Mr Dickson and party advisor James Ashby travelled to the United States a year ago seeking campaign help from lobby groups like the National Rifle Association (NRA).

In a statement, Al Jazeera said it "did not consider it in the public interest".

"Sorry. They were not talking to the NRA".

Last month, Mr Dickson accused Al Jazeera of "interfering" with Australian politics by employing an Australian journalist to covertly record him in the US. "Sorry. You're wrong", Hanson said.

He said Beijing had expressed concerns to the French government following a similar maneuver by one of its warships last week. Taiwan's Defense Ministry said the USA ships had sailed north through the strait.

"The investigation exposed attempts by members of Pauline Hanson's One Nation party to obtain political donations in return for loosening Australia's strict gun laws".

"There's a reason we come to DC", Mr Dickson said.

After that he says, "you know what's good about this?" and then makes a remark about seeing "titty". "I'm not going to judge him any further".

He refers to one dancer as a "b**ch" and says of another: "Little t**s, nothing there". She declines, saying: "I can't do that sorry, they'll probably notice".

Controversial Australian politician Pauline Hanson has broken down in tears on Perth radio, describing the strip club scandal engulfing her party as a "kick in the guts".

Dickson was filmed secretly by the same undercover Al Jazeera crew discussing guns with the American gun lobby.

Secret footage aired last night revealed the Queensland One Nation leader groping women, putting dollar bills between their breasts and shouting lewd comments on a night out in Washington D.C.

Dickson is a former Liberal MP for the Queensland electorates of Kawana and Buderim, on the Sunshine Coast.
