As of this morning, the Marvel Studios juggernaut film, Avengers: Endgame, has passed $948.7 million internationally for a global total of $1,342.6 million in its first 5 days since release.

It's fair to say few actors do badly from playing superheroes in blockbuster films (aside, perhaps, from Ben Affleck in Daredevil), but life has rather imitated art for Robert Downey Jr, who plays billionaire playboy Tony Stark in the Marvel films. Evans, who had a five-film deal as Captain America, reportedly did the same. Scarlett Johansson, who played Black Widow in the franchise, will earn $20 million for both starring and producing in a standalone film for the same character next year.

Avengers: Endgame has surprises in store for all of the major surviving Avengers, but the journey is more surprising for some characters than others.

Last year, almost 114,000 people were on waiting lists for organ transplants, according to the United Network for Organ Sharing. The researchers pointed out that transportation of organs is one of the most crucial parts of the transplant process.

It seems likely that it will become the fifth movie ever to earn over $2 billion at the worldwide box office, joining Avengers: Infinity War ($2.048 billion), Star Wars: The Force Awakens ($2.048 billion), Titanic ($2.187 billion) and the highest grossing movie of all time worldwide, Avatar ($2.788 billion). Avengers: Endgame would have to earn another $1,446 million to pass Avatar's insane $2.7 billion gross.

Some MCU actors and actresses are gearing up to make the switch to Disney+, with such stars as Tom Hiddleston (Loki), Elizabeth Olsen (Scarlet Witch), Paul Bettany (Vision), Anthony Mackie (Falcon), Sebastian Stan (Winter Soldier), and Jeremy Renner (Hawkeye) getting their own series on Disney's new streaming service. These deals are said to be separate from the films and "don't negate appearances in future Marvel movies".

And like watching the movie's final credits, its a pretty stunning parade of stars to see all in the same place at the same time.
