Donovan McNabb Makes His Case For The Pro Football Hall Of Fame

Former NFL quarterback Donovan McNabb says he deserves to be wearing a gold jacket and be enshrined in the Pro Football Hall of Fame.

"I'm not hesitating on that. My numbers speak for themselves".

Aikman was elected to the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 2006 and in fairness, Tony Romo is the Cowboys all-time leading passer in a lot of statistics, and it doesn't ensure he'll ever reach the Hall.

Furthermore, although he lost the one Super Bowl he played in, McNabb also led the Eagles to five NFC championship games, while also becoming the fourth quarterback in National Football League history to amass more than 30,000 passing yards, 200 TD passes, 3,000 rushing yards, and 20 rushing touchdowns in his career. "My numbers are better than Troy Aikman's".

Aikman has three Super Bowl rings, to be exact. Yet, he was a six-time Pro Bowl selection and led the Eagles to five NFC Championship Games and Super Bowl XXXIX.

That might serve to explain some of what troubles the former Philadelphia Eagle, who retired after the 2011 season.

Memorial Day Weekend Will Bring Big Change In Temperatures
There's a moderate risk of rip currents along the Jersey Shore on Friday with ocean temperatures in the mid-50s. Hang in there, all of you who are planning to host or attend a barbecue on Memorial Day .

Whether he likes it or not, winning a Super Bowl greatly improves the chances of a player getting into the hall of fame.

Aikman played one less season than McNabb, passing for 32,942 yards, 165 touchdowns, 141 interceptions with a 61.5 completion percentage.

Donovan McNabb is one of those polarizing players that some people just love to hate.

McNabb seems to have a borderline argument for the honor.

In terms of yards, touchdowns, and interceptions, McNabb did, in fact, have better numbers although the big difference between the two is that Aikman won three Super Bowls while McNabb won zero. His number five jersey was retired by the Eagles and he is a member of the team's hall of fame.
