Game of Thrones Finale

Game of Thrones Finale

While the series finale drew mixed reviews from critics, its commercial dominance was not in dispute.

Depending on who you ask, Sunday's Game of Thrones finale, "The Iron Throne", was either a fitting end or yet another convoluted mess of an episode to finish this season.

The pay-TV provider claims Season 8 was the most engaging audience yet, notching a cumulative linear average audience of 1.413 million viewers per episode across episodes 1-4.

The finale of Game of Thrones cemented the fantasy epic's status as the most watched television series in HBO history.

Breaking that down, 1.076 million watched across all airings on the set top box, marking an increase of 21 per cent on the season 7 finale, while 471,000 tuned in to stream live or on demand on both Foxtel GO and Foxtel Now. The show also stands as the most Emmy Award-winning primetime scripted series ever, with a record 47 awards. Sunday's 13.6 million, as Variety added, actually surpassed a biggest single telecast record for HBO that was attained by the season four premiere of The Sopranos in 2002. Season 8 is now averaging 44.2 million viewers in gross audience, which marks an increase of more than 10 million.

Google Pixel 3a and 3a XL users are reporting random shutdowns
One Redditor faced with the problem said, "I had two shutdowns yesterday, including overnight, causing me to miss my wake alarm". Undoubtedly Google will be all over this, but as yet they've not officially responded or even acknowledged the issue.

Sophie Turner, who played Sansa Stark, said the petition was "disrespectful".

This is probably everyones' reaction when Jon Snow (Kit Harrington) killed Daenerys (Emilia Clarke).

In fact, some whiny fans have been so disgruntled with how showrunners David Benioff and D.B. Weiss have been handling everything - particularly the arcs of their favourite characters - that they are demanding HBO remake the entire final season, a thing that HBO will definitely absolutely do, believe me.

"I thought it would be more of a dramatic ending", healthcare worker Christine Lethune told Reuters at a viewing party in NY.
