Amazon Kindle Oasis Deal

Surprise! Amazon just announced a brand new version of its popular Kindle Oasis eBook Reader, and it could very well be the best eReader Amazon has ever created.

In a press release, Eric Saarnio, Head of Amazon Devices EU, said "We're adding an adjustable warm light so customers can read with a warmer tone that's customizable to their preference to easily transition from daytime to nighttime reading". The new Kindle Oasis also supports screen warmth scheduling, so that it will automatically update its settings when it's sunrise or sunset, or according to the times of your choice. Six months of Kindle Unlimited Service, Amazon's version of Netflix for e-books and audiobooks, is included for free (it costs $10 a month after the six months is up). If you already own a previous generation Kindle Oasis, read further if you're wondering whether or not it's worth to upgrade to the new model.

Rocket hits Basra oil headquarter site of Exxon, Royal Dutch Shell
On Friday evening, "three mortar rounds hit the Balad airbase (north of Baghdad), starting a fire", the same source said. The short-range missile attack focused on a complex used by several major oil companies, including US -based ExxonMobil.

The basic, $90 Kindle and the $130 Paperwhite don't have this feature or the other features endemic to the Oasis. This model still has has a attractive 7-inch display, but now, it also gets the ability to adjust the light termperature. For a start, it promises to be faster than before, meaning page-turns will happen more rapidly. There are several different options, including water-safe fabric covers in blue, red, and charcoal for $39.99; leather covers in black and merlot for $49.99; or a "premium leather cover" for $64.99.

Low resolution was one of the reasons we didn't love the newest version of the cheap Kindle when it launched in April. Note that CNET may get a share of the revenue if you buy anything featured on our site. Updated to include more specific comment from Amazon on screen and specs.
