Philippe Coutinho turns on the charm for Brazil against Honduras

With reports suggesting that FC Barcelona could sell Philippe Coutinho after his poor season, the Brazilian himself has now made an admission about the 2018/19 campaign.

PSG captain Thiago Silva has also made the Seleção squad for the tournament and has backed Coutinho, claiming he has looked much happier on worldwide duty. Tite's squad is as good as any in the tournament but the coach is trying to manage a generational change and said that choosing his squad of 23 players was the "most difficult" task he had faced since taking over three years ago.

Barcelona tweeted "Happy Birthday Coutinho" with a GIF of their £146million signing and then Liverpool fans quickly posted their response. It was demanding and they jeered him a lot but here, in this team, he's our reference point.

Even so, he insisted that he gave it his all: "But we only gain confidence with work, and I've worked hard." .

"I think he left because he wanted to play for one of the big Spanish clubs".

Woods 'fighting and hanging on' at US Open
Open despite a scratchy one-under 70 in the opening round on Thursday. "I did what I had to do", McIlroy said. Despite the battle Woods had to go through to get to the one-under, he has to be happy with the result.

"I am very happy, it is a dream come true and I hope to meet all expectations in the field." .

"I think he probably regrets his decision", Werner was quoted as saying to Liverpool Echo.

The Barcelona playmaker, who is nearly nailed on to leave the club this summer, has recognised that he has not had the best of campaigns.

The Brazilian playmaker made a €120million move from Liverpool to Barcelona in January 2018 and initially enjoyed success at Camp Nou.

He was not impressive against his former club Liverpool when they met in the Champions League semifinal second leg encounter which the Reds won 4-0.
