Juan Mata: Manchester United midfielder agrees new contract

Manchester United midfielder Juan Mata is moving closer to a new contract at Old Trafford, according to the Daily Mirror. The deal will run until the Spaniard is 34, with the intention of him remaining at the club after he retires as a player. And despite United's initial wish of not meeting Mata's demands, it seems like that the Red Devils and the player are likely to arrive at a compromise, with his contract set to expire in two weeks time.

Attacking-midfielder Mata, now 31, has been on the books of United since January of 2014, when he made the surprise move to Old Trafford from Chelsea for a then club-record fee of just over £37 million.

Mata's salary will not change significantly but the three-year contract contrasts well with the one year offered initially.

This past season, he participated in 32 matches and scored 6 goals in all tournaments.

Thankfully, though Samsung's virus scan process is sadly not automated, the procedure is actually pretty simple. Update (12pm ET): Samsung has now deleted the somewhat controversial tweet.

Herrera has signed for Paris Saint Germain, while Valencia has yet to confirm his future. Despite playing an increasingly limited role, Ole Gunnar Solskjær considers him a useful squad player.

The exact length of Mata's proposed deal has not been confirmed.

That's not his game - he's a central playmaker who can get goals and assists and would have been the flawless mentor for Miguel Almiron if the duo linked up in the north east.
