Madison Bumgarner sounds close to a philosophical breakthrough

Dodgers first baseman Max Muncy and Giants pitcher Madison Bumgarner exchanged some words and gestures in a weird scene during Sunday's game at Oracle Park.

The Dodgers offense stayed quiet for most of the game against Giants ace Madison Bumgarner, but one swing was enough to get the job done considering how well Buehler and the bullpen threw the ball.

The latest example of this happened on Sunday when the Dodgers' Max Muncy launched an absolute moonshot into McCovey Cove. This, clearly irked Bumgarner who immediately began shouting in Muncy's direction. The home plate umpire needed to step in.

Jon Stewart lashes out at Congress over September 11 victims fund
Stewart, who seemed at tears at points, said the men and women "responded in five seconds - they did their jobs". The room erupted in applause when he finished his remarks. "I cried through most of this, a lot of us did".

As it turned out, that was the only run of the game as the Dodgers held on to win, 1-0. He just made his way to first base as the ball sailed into the ocean.

After the game, Muncy discussed his conversation with Bumgarner, delivering what may be the quote of the year.

Maybe it's time to write a new rule into baseball's list of unwritten rules: If you give up a bazillion foot home run, you lose your right to yell at the guy who gave it a ride.
