Marvel's The Avengers Game: 10 Things You Need To Know

Marvel's Avengers Hank Pym

Looks like we'll most likely be seeing more news about this game over the next couple of days.

Crystal Dynamics' Creative Director Shaun Escayg and Marvel Games' Vice President Bill Rosemann were also on hand to explain the game's premise. Since Marvel's Avengers is going with an original story, we think Hank is going to be Ant-Man in the game. Players will be able to jump in and out of co-op, level up characters in and out of co-op play, but those interested in main-ing one specific character will not be punished for that either. The Avengers are blamed for a seismic tragedy, and the Avengers disband.

The trailer showed Iron Man, Thor, Captain America, Black Widow and Hulk - but not the Marvel Cinematic Universe versions of themselves. The main story campaign picks up years after this moment when a "horrific evil" descends upon Earth, and Earth's Mightiest Heroes are needed once more.

Mendy signing to take Real's summer spend past €330m
Real Madrid have signed left-back Ferland Mendy from Lyon in a deal worth up to £47.1m, which takes their summer spending close to £300m.

Marvel's Avengers is also set to have a roadmap of DLC available for free, with no loot boxes or pay to win scenarios.

In a press release, Crystal Dynamics head Ron Rosenberg added that "every new Super Hero and region will be delivered to players at no additional cost if you own the core game". The voice cast includes Nolan North as Tony Stark and Troy Baker as Bruce Banner. The game will drop on PS4, Xbox One, Stadia (yes, that new thing we didn't know about until the other day), and PC. Square Enix announced that it has partnered with PlayStation for this release, so those who pre-order on PS4 from the game's official website will get first access to an upcoming beta for Marvel's Avengers. Instead, Iron Man and friends will apparently be moving all around the world, though the bulk of the action we've seen so far has taken place in San Francisco.
