Ghostbusters 3 Gets a New Title as Paul Rudd Joins Cast

Ok, that doesn't make any sense but what does make ideal sense is Paul - the greatest man in the history of time - joining the cast of Jason Reitman's new Ghostbusters film. Oh, and there's probably a steady pay cheque in it.

Paul Rudd has taken to Twitter to announce his next movie project.

Reitman's father, Ivan Reitman, directed the original "Ghostbusters" movie. The story centers on a single mom and her children.

Reitman wrote the script with Gil Kenan and the film is scheduled to arrive on 10 July next year.

According to Variety, Rudd will play a teacher in the film.

Variety first reported the news of Rudd's casting. This new film will be a continuation of the franchise which started with 1984's Ghostbusters and saw a 1989 sequel to it.

Mark Zuckerberg talks privacy and regulation
Facebook's policy on how to handle false content was put to the test recently when a deepfake video of Mr Zuckerberg was created. Facebook has long held that it should not decide what is and isn't true, leaving such calls instead to outside fact-checkers.

The movie is set in a different universe than the 2016 reboot film "Ghostbusters" that starred Melissa McCarthy, Kate McKinnon, Leslie Jones and Kristen Wiig.

It is expected to arrive in theaters in summer 2020.

Rudd, who's repped by UTA and Lighthouse Management and Media, is coming off a Marvel-ous stretch with "Avengers: Endgame".

Rudd also joins Academy Award nominee Sigourney Weaver, who knows a thing or two about what it's like to lead a sci-fi movie, for Ghostbusters 2020.

Bill Murray, Dan Aykroyd, and Ernie Hudson will likely reprise their roles, but an official announcement has yet to be made.
