With 11 points (five wins and a rain-washed match) from 6 matches, India are now placed at the second spot in the points table and have nearly booked a berth for themselves in the final 4.

After winning the toss star Indian skipper Virat Kohli chose to bat first and his strategy showed to be true in the end as world-class pacers like Jasprit Bumrah and Mohammed Shami flattened the lowly-ranked West Indies team in just 143 runs.

"Then you have (Mohammed) Shami, who was only playing his second game and bowled really well". They just need one victory from their remaining three games to make the last-four where defending champions Australia have already qualified. Both wrist spinners continued their good work and India made this match one sided despite suffering during their batting. He removed Chris Gayle and Shai Hope within seven overs to nullify the advantage West Indies at the end of India's innings.

But it was Kohli who set up the win as he became fastest batsman to reach 20,000 worldwide runs in his 417th innings - India's Sachin Tendulkar and Caribbean batsman Brian Lara both required 453 global innings to reach the landmark.

Trump was asked by reporters if he would raise the scandal of election meddling during a meeting with Putin. He said the claims of Russian meddling in the USA election were part of the agenda of his talk with Trump.

Bumrah was once again clinical with the ball as he scalped two wickets, missing out on a hattrick opportunity. After Kohli lost his wicket to West Indies' skipper Jason holder, the responsibility came on Dhoni's shoulder.

"We didn't seize the moment but I would have taken chasing 268". The bowlers had a reasonable campaign but our batting has been too inconsistent.

India will now face host team England on Sunday, 30th June 2019.
