Ubisoft's PvP roller derby game has a free alpha, playable now

Following leaks from last week, Roller Champions has just been confirmed at Ubisoft's E3 2019 conference - and even though it's now slated for release in early 2020 (according to Ubisoft), you can play today by downloading a time-limited trial from Uplay.

Ubisoft has also announced that a pre-alpha E3 2019 demo is now available for download. For $14.99 a month, subscribers will be able to access every title in Ubisoft's catalog-over 100 games-as a PC download (starting September 3) and through Google's Stadia streaming service (starting in 2020). Additionally, subscribers will automatically be included in all betas and early access programs. Sony's PlayStation Now service also offers downloads of many of its games alongside cloud-based streaming access to hundreds of titles for $99 a year.

Trade Representative Robert Lighthizer, said, "I'm hearing concerns if we continue on this path there could be issues. The next day, the Trump administration raised tariffs on billions of dollars of Chinese goods to 25 percent.

Games in the service also include Ghost Recon Breakpoint, Watch Dogs: Legion, and more. And that's not all: the game is getting a free PC demo on Uplay that can be played over the next few days.

One of the most surprising things to come out of Ubisoft's E3 show is news that the company is gearing up to launch its own subscription gaming service. Like most subscription services out there, you can cancel Uplay+ at any time, with Ubisoft confirming that your progress across the Uplay+ library will be preserved if you ever decide you want to subscribe again.
