AD ASTRA Official Trailer #2 (2019), Brad Pitt, Sci Fi Movie

Disney's 20th Century Fox has revealed the new Ad Astra trailer, previewing the film opening in theaters on September 20, 2019.

Ad Astra has Brad Pitt playing an astronaut and he chose this profession to be like his father, who is now supposedly dead. Gray says that Jones' character, Clifford, is a "Buzz Aldrin-type figure-if he'd gone mad in deep space".

In a second full trailer released in July, the relationship between McBride and his father is at the center of the preview, with Pitt delivering a monologue about their past and his decision to explore space as a profession. "This is Dr. McBride's son". Looking closely, you can see that people already have the use of hologram technology; and it looks like they've built some kind of headquarters on the moon.

James Gray directed the film, working from a script that he wrote with Ethan Gross. "It's really more of an attempt by us to examine a schizoid personality", Gray said, "and how that is preferred for astronauts in space travel because you don't have to connect emotionally".

'Cats' director using digital technology to make actors look furry
Ahead of the first trailer dropping Friday, the cast of Cats have changed their Instagram names to the names of their characters. She started filming her parts as Bombalurina right after wrapping up her Reputation tour a year ago .

I think the film looks interesting, and I'm sure Pitt is going to do a great job.

Besides Pitt, the movie also stars the likes of Tommy Lee Jones, Ruth Negga, Liv Tyler, and Donald Sutherland.

"Ad Astra" had been pushed back first from January 2019, then again from a planned summer release following the acquisition of 20th Century Fox by Disney, and Gray's film will now open on September 20 from Walt Disney Studios.
