Tyrone Mings signs permanently with Aston Villa from Bournemouth

Ezri Konsa completed a move to Aston Villa on Thursday afternoon after impressing at Brentford throughout the 2018-19 campaign - but it seems Brentford fans are happy with the move.

Speaking to Villa's official website of the U20 World Cup victor, Smith said: "Ezri fits the profile of the type of player we were searching for". Not only will it allow him an opportunity to play in the Premier League but he also previously worked very well with Dean Smith at Brentford.

Konsa becomes Aston Villa's seventh signing this summer, following Kortney Hause, Anwar El Ghazi, Tyrone Mings, Jota, Wesley Moraes and Matty Targett.

I think everybody could see the connection that he made with the club as a whole and it is excellent news that we can continue the relationship in the Premier League. Will get better but for such a profit within a year, that's way too good money to turn down, especially with who we've brought in.

"The atmosphere [at Villa Park] is huge".

"I'm speechless right now". It's a dream come true. With various quality signings coming in, they are already looking stronger with more strength in depth which is what they will need with the huge challenge to come. "For me to finally be able to do it against the top players in the world, it's a privilege".

Following promotion to the top tier, the Villans have been one of the most active clubs in the market as they go about the business of constructing a squad good enough to survive in the Premier League next season.
