TMZ first reported Hardy was arrested and booked early this morning for public intoxication and impairment and was released at some point today on bond.

Myrtle Beach police arrested a wrestling superstar Saturday morning at a downtown hotel, the Myrtle Beach Sun News reports.

In September previous year, he was stretchered out of WWE Hell in a Cell after falling from the top of the cage.

Jeff Hardy is no stranger to being in trouble with the law and his history of substance abuse and alcohol is also well-documented.

It was back in 2008 that Hardy was barred from boarding a pane in Nashville due to alleged intoxication though he was not arrested.

WWE Superstar Jeff Hardy was arrested in SC for the alleged offence of being "drunk in public" this weekend, according to TMZ Sports. Hardy could face up to 30 days in jail, but will likely only have to pay a small fine instead.

Jeff is now out of action for WWE, recovering from knee surgery that he underwent in May.
