Jim Harbaugh takes one more 'controversy' dig at Urban Meyer

Michigan Wolverines coach Jim Harbaugh isn't pulling any punches when it comes to former Ohio State Buckeyes coach Urban Meyer. "A really phenomenal record everywhere he's been", the Wolverines coach said on a podcast with The Athletic. "Also, controversy follows everywhere he's been". The fact that Harbaugh went there will leave a lot to be desired for Ohio State fans and brass.

While speaking on a podcast with The Athletic's Tim Kawakami, Harbaugh fielded a question about his inability to make the college playoffs.

Harbaugh did not go into any more detail, or specify which instances he was directly referring to, but there are quantitative examples. Meyer received criticism for the string of player arrests during his six seasons at Florida, where 31 players were arrested for a variety of charges, ranging in seriousness. Before Meyer stepped down from his head coaching position at Ohio State, citing health reasons at the end of the 2018 season, he was suspended for three games by the university for how he handled domestic assault allegations against former Buckeyes assistant coach Zach Smith. The Wolverines' losing streak against the Buckeyes stretches back to 2011.

When Jim Harbaugh was hired away from the National Football League after the 2014 season, those ardently championing his prodigal return foresaw a return to glory for a MI team that had mostly struggles in the previous seven-plus years. "What your record is overall. What your record is with head-to-head matchups", Harbaugh said, as transcribed by Kevin Harrish of Eleven Warriors. What your record is overall. What your record is within the conference (26-9). Overall, looking at the Wolverines' performance since his arrival, Harbaugh notes that MI is right on track to where it's supposed to be, with the lone exception being against Ohio State.

International Monetary Fund chief, Lagarde, announces resignation
In a statement, Lagarde said she had made the decision to quit in order to create room for the quick appointment of her successor. Other names being floated include Bank of Finland Governor Olli Rehn, as well as ECB executive board member Benoit Coeure.

"You welcome the accountability that all you can be judged on is your record", Harbaugh added on the show.

"Our goal, we have two: Win multiple championships and run a first-class program. That's we aspire to".

It should be an interesting Big Ten Media Days appearance for Harbaugh on Friday.
