Super Monkey Ball: Banana Blitz is Back in HD: Originally released on the Wii in 2006, Super Monkey Ball: Banana Blitz HD reinvigorates the original game with 100 single-player stages, 10 multi-player mini-games, revamped control schemes, updated graphics, and more. It'll cost $39.99/£34.99. "Super Monkey Ball", which roughly translates to "good to eat" or "now taste good", but I'm going to call it Tasty Super Monkey Balls just to be childish.

Earlier today, the weekly issue of Famitsu provided full details on the new Super Monkey Ball, and the magazine's official blog shared the first few bits of information and images. Unfortunately, this is seen as something of a weak point in the series. Set to release on October 31, 2019 (PC is TBA), it will bring the obvious host of graphical improvements along with putting the series on a modern console. Then again, it could feel like a whole new game if Sega tweaks it to use a more traditional control scheme, so maybe it's a brilliant move. Hopefully we're wrong, and it launches at or near the same time. It has only been announced for Japan, but presumably it will eventually make its way to the west. Super Monkey Ball. Not much else is known about the remake, but the magazine will be hitting store shelves on July 18.
