In the wake of helming the super hit "Thor Ragnarok" the producer Taika Waititi is coming back to the Marvel Cinematic Universe and will coordinate Thor 4 with Christ Hemsworth in the main job. In this regard, the Director of "Ragnarok" have returned to collaborate with Marvel. Most of the films expected to be announced are new endeavors (Black Widow, Eternals, Shang-Chi, etc.), so if the studio can bring out Chris Hemsworth with Waititi in tow, it would be a huge moment. The inevitable clash between production dates has resulted in Akira being delayed.

The fact that the Studio Warner Bros.at the time postponed the project "Akira", which was engaged in Waititi. With Akira this far in development toward production "on hold" may not be the whole picture.

As for Chris Hemsworth's Thor, the actor previously revealed he would very much be interested in joining James Gunn's next Guardians of the Galaxy movie. It doesn't contain any revelatory new plot details or anything, but it does give us some extra footage of Fat Thor and Rocket - one of our favorite MCU duos - and should entertain those who were left wanting more from this pair after leaving the theater. Are you disappointed Taiki Waititi won't be directing Akira first?
