Trevor Bayliss Replaces Tom Moody As Head Coach Of Sun Risers Hyderabad

Bayliss replaced Australia's Tom Moody who has been associated with SRH for seven years.

Mickey Arthur has frequently said that he would like to continue on as Pakistan's head coach, but he also admitted that he is interested in succeeding Trevor Bayliss as England's coach.

In a statement Thursday, SRH said: "After very careful consideration, the SRH franchise has chose to take a new direction with the head coaching role and will be parting ways with the services of Tom Moody".

Sunrisers added in their statement: 'He is a proven victor and we feel that his successful track record will be ideal in taking Sunrisers Hyderabad forward'.

Bayliss had long ago signalled his intention to end his four-year tenure with England after the end of the forthcoming Ashes series, when his contract expires.

The franchise made it clear that Moody was not being snubbed and instead he had made an "enormous impact" in Sunrisers making the IPL playoffs five times in seven seasons.

In reply, Moody also tweeted a message of gratitude to the players, support staff and fans. The success we've enjoyed over the 7 yrs is a testament to a hard working team on and off the field.

It was reported this week that Bayliss, who will exit the England role after next month's Ashes, was to re-join Kolkata Knight Riders ahead of the 2020 IPL season but on Thursday it was revealed that he will take over as SRH coach.

Bayliss has earlier coached the Kolkata Knight Riders to two IPL titles.

He also led Sydney Sixers to the Big Bash League title in 2010-11 and coached Sri Lanka during their run to the 2011 World Cup final.

Humiliated on the global stage in 2015, they came into the recently-concluded World Cup as favourites, having stormed to the top of the ODI rankings after a change of ideology that allowed their attacking instincts to flourish.
