Will Apple release a foldable iPad in 2020?

Apple Is Reportedly Working on a Foldable iPad With 5G Support

I think the iPad is a better device to be able to fold because phones don't need to get any larger, and in the future, iPad could be a ideal device for business employees on the go. Even Huawei delayed the launch of its Mate X foldable smartphone after the Galaxy Fold debacle. Huawei has also introduced its new foldable device.

It will be interesting to see what Apple would do to make a foldable tablet that is not marred with such issues.

Apple intends to launch a fundamentally extraordinary iPad one year from now, the one with a one of a kind plan.

Reports also stated that all iPhones that are due to be released next year, is expected to come with 5G-network support as well.

Carolina Hurricanes officially match Canadiens' offer sheet for Aho
The Hurricanes finished last season with a 46-29-7 record to take the first wild-card playoff spot in the Eastern Conference. The Hurricanes had already made it clear they meant to match the offer sheet made by Montreal after the deal was signed.

According to well-known researchers from IHS Market, the aim behind releasing a foldable iPad is to compete against Microsoft's Surface. It seems Apple is quite enthusiastic in launching the device very soon. We have seen the foldable phone this year too at Mobile World Congress this year too. Apple already sells the iPad Pro, which has a 12.9-inch screen and offers more screen real estate than some MacBooks. "However, it is easy to imagine how an iPad mini-sized product that could unfold to 13 or 15-inch screen would be compelling". Apple's struggles over securing a solid 5G timeline for its iPhone line has been well-documented up to this point, and we aren't expecting a 5G iPhone until late 2020.

Remember, although this information comes from a reputable analyst firm, we have to take it with tweezers until Apple comments.

On the other hand, if Apple were to experiment with a foldable screen, it'd perhaps be safer to do it with an iPad than the far more popular iPhone.
