The Express & Star says Wolves are hoping to complete a swoop for Cutrone.

Gianluca Di Marzio states that Milan are incredibly keen on Atletico Madrid forward Angel Correa, who would likely cost around €55m.

Cutrone's goalscoring form tailed off after that, with him netting only twice more for the remainder of the campaign, but Wolves see huge potential in the Como-born front-man and believe he offers a quality alternative to Raul Jimenez and Diogo Jota up front.

As a result, Wolves are now thought to be in advanced negotiations with Milan to strike a deal, given I Rossoneri are eager to raise funds to bring in their own signings.

But, according to Italian daily Tuttosport, cited by Tutto Mercato, Cutrone wants to continue with AC Milan next season, despite interest from elsewhere.

Cutrone played for Italy throughout the youth levels and earned his senior debut in March 2018 against Argentina, his only cap to date.

The Milan academy product netted nine times in 43 appearances last season.

Wolves boss Nuno Espirito Santo is noted for working well with young talent and it is for this reason that Molineux may be a good fit for him.

It was said the Premier League side would be "prepared" to meet the request of €25m for the 21-year-old, making it sound like for the transfer to happen, it would be a matter of finding a deal with the player.

He is tied to a long-term contract with the club that expires only in the summer of 2023.
