Xbox One July Update Out Now, Here's What It Does

This month's Xbox One system update puts more focus on Game Pass. Play Later is a simple way of making lists of games that you might want to come back to... later.

Xbox has announced the details of its July update for the Xbox One, adding a new feature for Xbox Games Pass as well as additional commands and countries to use your console with an Amazon Alexa device. Specifically, a variety of new voice commands have been added that are specific to Xbox Game Pass. You can add and remove titles from the list from the console dashboard or the Xbox mobile app, meaning you can plan out your ever-growing backlog while killing time at work.

Head here for the full list of what you can say and get an actual response from the console, all of which can be said to Alexa or, if you're a fan of video game AIs, Cortana (but only in the United Kingdom and US).

Of course the laptop now includes Touch Bar, Touch ID, a True Tone Retina Display , and the Apple T2 Security Chip. Apple added that the MacBook Air and the MacBook Pro are both part of the company's Back to School promotion .

You can also now use Alexa for social networking; you can ask, "Alexa, what are my friends playing?" or, "Alexa, is [friend's name] online right now?" among many other things.

There's also another handy feature that lets Alexa pair your Xbox One controller to the console just by asking.

Alexa on Xbox One launched first in the USA and the United Kingdom last Fall, but the July 2019 Update finally brings it to more markets including Australia, Canada, France, Germany, Italy, Mexico, and Spain.
