AFCON winning Coach Djamel Belmadi has been nominated for the FIFA Best Men's Coach Award following Algeria's campaign in Egypt.

Aside from Guardiola and Klopp, Tottenham manager Mauricio Pochettino is the other Premier League manager to have been shortlisted, having guided his team to a Champions League final, as well as a fourth placed league finish and a Carabao Cup semi-final.

There is also no place for last year's victor Luka Modric in the 10-man shortlist.

Joining the trio on the list are Didier Deschamps, Tite, Fernando Santos, Djamel Belmadi, Marcelo Gallardo, Ricardo Gareca and Erik ten Hag.

Also on the 10-person shortlist is Reynald Pedros, who inspired French women's club side Lyon to a league, cup and Champions League treble.

Meanwhile, 10 exceptional female players were also shortlisted for the 2019 FIFA Best Women's Player. The fan vote will be equally weighted alongside the votes of journalists, national team coaches and captains.

Voting for the awards is now open, with the categories narrowed down to three finalists before the winners are announced in Milan on September 23rd.

The public can vote for their preferences via FIFA's website. Croatia and Real Madrid's Luka Modric won in 2018.

Virgil van Dijk is the early favourite for the honour, following his PFA Player of the Year award and Liverpool's continental success.
