Black Panther 2 release date announced by Ryan Coogler at D23

In 2018, Black Panther released and helped add diversity to the superhero genre.

It was also scored seven Oscar nominations, including one for best picture - which was a first for any Marvel superhero movie - and won three.

Hence, it came as no surprise that a sequel was already in the works with Ryan back as the captain of the ship and Chadwick back as Black Panther. There's definitely a damn good chance, since Ryan Coogler is returning to write and direct.

Black Panther 2 is officially happening, and Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige took the stage at D23 earlier today to announce the film's release date: May 6, 2022. The first tease of Black Panther 2 popped-up at this year's D23 Expo - here's what we saw.

Sara Ali Khan and Kartik Aaryan's airport saga continues…
The 24-year-old actor never misses any chance to show her inherent quality of kindness, generosity and good spirits. The actor was reportedly returning from Bangkok, and was seen in a white, long-sleeved T-shirt and dark glasses.

Feige confirmed that a treatment had been turned in by Coogler for the sequel, but details about plot or an official title were not given.

"We're not taking our time, we're really trying to get it right", Coogler said of the production schedule. "And I always think that the differences lie in how old he was when he lost his father".

After Comic Con, it seemed that Phase 4 was fully mapped out, but the addition of 3 new Disney+ shows might mean that the length of Phase 4 has been extended to include them, which could bring Black Panther's May 2022 release within the window.
