After years of speculation, we finally get to see what Emma Stone looks like with Dalmatians and a black-and-white 'do in Disney's Cruella.

Production is underway on the film with the upcoming prequel set in the 1970s, with Stone calling her take on the character "punk rock". In fact, this incarnation of Cruella even appears to be keeping three Dalmatians as pets, which indicates that she's as yet not obsessed with turning them into a fine fur coat.

France threatens Brazil on trade deal, escalating tensions over Amazon fires
When running for president, Bolsonaro made campaign promises to restore the economy by exploring the Amazon's economic potential. Some European countries are talking about possibly blocking a free trade deal now under negotiation.

Stone stars as the "101 Dalmatians" villain, which tells her story before she was terrorizing the puppies of London as we saw her in the 1961 original. The 1996 live-action 101 Dalmations (which now seems rather prescient given Disney's strategy of adapting all its animated classics into live-action) featured Glenn Close as the murderous fur-loving villain, and she was widely considered to have done excellent work in the role.

Also starring Emma Thompson, the film is directed by I, Tonya director Craig Gillespie. Tony McNamara wrote the most recent version of the script, with Dana Fox having penned a previous version. The film also stars Paul Walter Hauser and Joel Fry and will hit cinemas on December 23, 2020-just in time for Christmas. So much about the film has been kept under wraps, but at the at D23 Expo, fans were given their first look at Emma in the devious role - and it didn't disappoint.
