- Authorities announced Saturday they have arrested the man wanted for the double murder of his parents in Long Prairie, Minnesota.

Dylan John Bennett was apprehended by Mexican law enforcement in Cancun after Todd County investigators used his cell phone, credit card and ATM activity since Friday to locate him there, the sheriff's office confirmed on Saturday.

"The FBI is taking him into custody now and will transport him to Minnesota in the coming days", the statement said.

According to investigators, Dylan Bennett had also contacted Todd County Sheriff Steve Och shortly before he was arrested, promising to turn himself into the Federal Bureau of Investigation. The arrest complaint said both appeared to have been shot multiple times.

Authorities found Dylan Bennett's vehicle at his parent's home, along with an empty box for a 9mm handgun and a box for ammunition.

Investigators believe the Bennetts were killed Monday.

Tottenham boss Pochettino: Eriksen fine amid transfer talk
The 27-year-old has one year left on his contract and according to reports isn't interested in signing a new deal with Tottenham. Eriksen is holding out for a move to a top European club, having reportedly turned down the chance to join Manchester United.

Last December, Barry Bennett told the Todd County Sheriff's Office that "his son, Dylan Bennett, while in a mental health treatment facility, had expressed homicidal thoughts about killing his parents", according to the complaint. He also apparently flew from Columbus, Ohio, to Atlanta, Georgia, then on to Cancun.

63-year-old Barry Bennett and his 66-year-old wife Carol were found shot to death in their Long Prairie, Minnesota home that they shared with their youngest son Dylan who has been charged with their murder.

Authorities also learned Dylan Bennett had withdrawn a large amount of money from his parents' accounts and purchased airline tickets to Cancun.

As for the Saints, starting tight end Jared Cook and linebacker Alex Anzalone are among the notable players out for New Orleans.

The Star Tribune reported Bennett had retired from teaching physical education in Long Prairie, a town of about 3,500 people about two hours northwest of Minneapolis.
