Microsoft starts rolling out another new Android app, SMS Organizer

Microsoft's had an Android app called SMS Organizer in India for a little while now.

Microsoft has more than 150 apps published by different Microsoft teams in the Google Play Store, with a handful of them having more than 500 million downloads. The Outlook-esque app claims to automatically sort messages by personal, transactions, promotions and starred settings uses machine learning to organize incoming text in a similar fashion to email. These categories are represented by individual tabs on the bottom of the app. Additionally, SMS Organizer can create contextual reminders and alarms based on the content of a conversation chain that includes departure dates, movie and concert bookings, flight or train scheduling and more.

The new Premier League season has started on Friday, August 9, with Liverpool beating EPL returnees Norwich City 4-1 at Anfield. The Portuguese tactician's last job was with the Red Devils, who relieved him of his duties in December previous year .

You can backup and restore text messages on Google Drive, which is likely to be handy for clearing up storage space or if you ever lose your phone.

To be able to use SMS Organizer, you need to register using the mobile number which is why you couldn't use it outside India even if you had an APK. There's one caveat - the app only supports SMS messages and not MMS messages. Although the app is heavily focused on the Indian demographic, Microsoft has quietly expanded its availability to more countries, including the United States, the United Kingdom, and Australia.
