President Donald Trump Blasts Anthony Scaramucci’s TV Punditry

"The President continues to do this, and I think what ends up happening is sounded reasonably minded men and women in the Republican Party will say, wait a minute, we can't do this".

Touting his accomplishments in office, Trump said he made Scaramucci's career: "Anthony, who would do anything to come back in, should remember the only reason he is on TV, and it's not for being the Mooch!" And so I appeal to my fellow Americans to choose a candidate who will bring this very divided and highly polarized country together, who will work on the issues before us, whether it is health care or an economy that includes everyone or immigration or confronting climate before it is too late and doing it in a way that speaks to the best of us. But he predicted that others would join him in considering an alternative if the president "doesn't reform his behavior".

The comments to CNN's John Berman come following a weekend in which Scaramucci and Trump traded barbs.

"Donald Trump is unsafe to the future of America, and will destroy what makes us so unique and so special and the genius that we represent to ourselves and to the rest of the world", O'Rourke said. Scaramucci, who served as White House communications director for a mere 11 days in 2017, has called Trump's attacks on four Democratic congresswomen of color "racist and unacceptable".

Trump mocked Scaramucci in a tweet for posing as an "all time expert on President Trump", adding that "he knows very little about me".

Scaramucci who has been critical of the president in recent TV appearances, shot back on Twitter early Sunday.

Describing Trump's visit to an El Paso hospital in particular as a "catastrophe", Scaracmucci cited video showing the president talking about himself and his crowds as much as he did comforting survivors, first responders and medical personnel.

"He probably would be mad at somebody for saying that", Scaramucci said. "Then it becomes a catastrophe for him, the administration, and it's also a bad reflection on the country".
