A statement from the Metropolitan Police said: "Two men have been charged under Section 4a of the Public Order Act following an incident in Camden on Thursday, 8 August".

In response, Kolasinac was seen confronting the thugs, and chasing them for a while, until they disappeared.

Arsenal stars Mesut Ozil and Sead Kolašinac have reportedly been placed under 24-hour guard after a knife-wielding London gang assaulted their vehicle last month and a separate altercation between two men and security staff outside Ozil's home earlier this week.

However, they will not be available this weekend after "further security incidents".

Reports suggested the men were arrested after becoming involved in an altercation with security staff outside Ozil's house.

The criminals have warned the players that they will steal away everything both the players possess.

Unknown to the players, an East European gang put out word that such attacks on them would not be tolerated.

Sead Kolasinac and Mesut Ozil are reportedly under 24 hour police surveillance amids fears that the attempted robbery on them has them caught up in a 'gang war'.

And the club said both players were being left out of today's match at Newcastle because of "security incidents". Thus, the situation has got so serious that Ozil and Kolasinac have not travelled with the Gunners to Newcastle for their opening Premier League game.

"The welfare of our players and their families is always a top priority and we have taken this decision following discussion with the players and their representatives", Arsenal said in a statement Friday.

"We are liaising with the police and are providing the players and their families with ongoing support".

Kolasinac's wife Bella is so frightened she has fled to Germany - vowing never to return.
