See Charlie Puth Question a Relationship in ‘I Warned Myself’ Video

Charlie Puth has made his comeback with a new track titled "I Warned Myself". The song was written and co-produced by Puth alongside Benny Blanco and centers on an obsessive relationship. Despite it's hyper-slick packaging, "I Warned Myself" is classic Puth in every regard: the "should've known better" lyrics, the undeniably sticky hook, and a touch of swooping acapella backing vocals. Even while choking himself (around the 1:35 mark), he sounds sensational.

The accompanying music video, directed by Brendan Vaughan, shows him in a buzz cut and a five o'clock shadow, in a photo-shoot with his romantic interest, driving a red sports vehicle across a desert alone, and lying on a red carpet surrounded by women.

Justin Thomas Loses Cushion, shares lead in Tour Championship
Rory McIlroy carded a superb round of 66 to move within one shot of the lead at the season-ending Tour Championship . He moved to nine under par overall, a shot behind co-leaders Justin Thomas, Brooks Koepka and Xander Schauffele.

The video features Puth in various situations with a female love interest, including a scene in which he stands in front of a burning door. The chorus is also brilliant as Charlie sings "I Warned Myself" on a rather simplified composition. Since then, the singer of "Attention" has collaborated with Katy Perry on "Small Talk" as well as with 5 Seconds of Summer on "Easier". Puth will perform as part of Midtown Music Festival in Atlanta in September and at Rock in Rio in Rio de Janeiro in October.
