"From 24 miles per day to using this walker to get to bathroom", Posner wrote, thanking his nurses and others.

The 'I Took A Pill In Ibiza' artist is now in the middle of a walk across North America - he left New Jersey in April and was expecting to reach the Pacific Ocean at some point in September, but progress was halted following his unfortunate run-in with the snake.

"Whatup doe! insane day yesterday!"

A promotional walk across the United States got an unexpected interruption Wednesday when singer Mike Posner encountered a baby rattlesnake in Colorado, KUSA reported. He was airlifted to the hospital where he got the anti-venom he needed in time, but the snake definitely left its mark, causing his left foot to swell up near his ankle area. "I had just crushed 16 miles and was going for 8 more when I got (bit) by a baby rattlesnake!" he said, gamely posting a green snake emoji.

Mike Posner rose to fame all the way back in 2009 with his song "Cooler Than Me".

"That venom is no joke!", Posner wrote in an Instagram post on Friday.

Posner intends to end his 3,000 mile journey in Venice, California.

"I'm trying to remember how to walk", he tells a hospital staffer. "I'm not walking to show people who I am". Lyrics include: "Walked across OH, took me 50 days / I talked to the stars, they were happy that I came / Some days I'm a genius, others I'm insane".

According to his social media, Posner is walking across the USA and releasing a song in each state.
