Lee's daughter added in her interview that while she "can understand all the reasoning behind what is portrayed in the movie", it covers "a period of time that clearly had a lot of racism and exclusion". The movie, which is set in 1969 Los Angeles, depicts Lee (played by newcomer Mike Moh) as cocky, giving him a whole monologue about how he could beat anyone in a fight.

The filmmaker also defended his decision to show Brad Pitt's Cliff Booth being able to hold his own in a fight with Lee, saying: "Could Cliff beat up Bruce Lee?".

At a press conference in Moscow, Tarantino, "Bruce Lee was kind of an arrogant guy".

More Kill Bill: "Me and Uma have talked about [a third Kill Bill] recently, ' he said on the podcast".

Meanwhile, his widow Linda Lee added that the film was "just bad", stating, "I thought the character was like a caricature of himself and made him look stupid, silly and made to be insultingly 'Chinesey.' It strayed so far from the truth of who he was and of any actual encounter he had". If people are saying, 'Well he never said he could beat up Muhammad Ali, ' well yeah he did. "The first biography I ever read was Linda Lee's Bruce Lee: The Man Only I Knew, and she absolutely said it". As it was previously reported, Shannon Lee said to reporters from The Times that Quentin turned her father into an "egotistical punching bag". If I say Cliff can beat Bruce Lee up, he's a fictional character so he could beat Bruce Lee up. Moreover, Quentin facetiously proposed a hypothetical fight between Count Dracula and Bruce Lee, as well, in an attempt to illustrate the futility of making such comparisons.

Lee's daughter, Shannon Lee, fired the first shot, though she was slightly understanding of Tarantino's artistic choice. So if Cliff were fighting Bruce Lee in a martial arts tournament in Madison Square Garden, Bruce Lee would kill him.

Snap Spectacles 3 announced with support for 3D videos at 60 fps
The Snaps also can be exported to the camera roll in circular, horizontal, square and virtual-reality formats. When Snap reported second-quarter results in July, it said revenue from Spectacles was "not material".

And how about the "Could Cliff Booth beat up Bruce Lee?" debate?

The release of his 9th film in May 2019, Once Upon a Time in Hollywood (OUATIH), marks his penultimate film. Quentin said the comparisons were silly because Cliff was a fictional character.

"The reality of the situation is this: Cliff is a Green Beret", he continued.

According to IndieWire, the 56-year-old filmmaker recently told an global press outlet that he is fascinated by horror genre and if he is able to crack a "terrific horror film story", then that will be his last feature.

"I do actually think that the Spahn Ranch sequence is the closest to a horror sequence". He has killed many, many men in World War II in hand-to-hand combat.

Apart from Shannon, the scene has also offended many Lee fans who have expressed anger on social media. Cliff is not even part of the sport that is like combat; he is a warrior. "He is a combat person", Tarantino said. However, if they were engaged in hand-to-hand combat in the jungles of the Philippines, then Booth would come out on top.
