Uncharted film reportedly loses its director
That's according to Deadline, which re-confirmed the casting as director Dan Trachtenberg left the project.
Trachtenberg's departure is not the only news for the Uncharted movie, as the report also states that the film will be Sony PlayStation Productions' first feature film.
This is the second time in as many days that issues have arisen in a major Sony project associated with Holland. Tom Holland, who probably could do some good news around now, is still attached to star as the young Nathan Drake. Trachtenberg seemed like the flawless fit for the franchise, his "10 Cloverfield Lane" movie released back in 2016 and made over $110M worldwide. Deadline's sources say Sony is on the move to lock in another director by the end of the USA summer (our winter). Incredibly cursed movie Uncharted, based on the aggressively popular video game franchise of the same name, has lost its director.

Azad was twice stopped at Jammu airport, most recently, and was "forcibly" sent back to Delhi on each occasion. Top Congress leaders including Ghulam Nabi Azad and Anand Sharma had accompanied Rahul Gandhi.
Meanwhile, Sony PlayStation Productions has boarded the Uncharted movie, which will be the label's first feature after it was set up on the Sony lot a year ago. Art Marcum, Matt Holloway and Rafe Judkins penned the script. It was previously announced for a late 2020 release date by Sony but the project's debut is now treading in murky waters as the possibility of the release date's push back may be inevitable.
Debuting in November 2007 on PlayStation 3, the "Uncharted" franchise sold 41 million copies over the next 10 years.
