Wilfried Zaha Told To Expect Fans' Backlash Against Everton
WILFRIED ZAHA had a gentleman's agreement to leave Crystal Palace this summer but Arsenal and Everton's attempts to sign the winger were both rejected for two reasons, according to Sky Sports expert Kaveh Solhekol. And has urged the fans to get behind their star man.
Having come up with Crystal Palace as a youth player, Zaha originally featured for the club in the Championship from 2009-13 before sealing a transfer to Manchester United.
"But they didn't feel those conditions were met to trigger the agreement".
"He has to come to terms with that, when you sign long-term contracts you are expected to honour them and we expect him to do that".
"Of course I hope that they won't get on Wilf's back".
"But whatever happens, Wilf will have to deal with that, just as he has had to deal with his disappointment over the last few days".
Israel military: Four Palestinian militants killed on Gaza border
The protests have declined in intensity in recent months following a truce brokered by United Nations officials and Egypt. No organization in Gaza, including Hamas, has yet to take responsibility or confirm the identities of those killed.
"I don't have any issues with him". That being said, If Iwobi starts out wide and Bernard comes in behind DCL or Moise Kean, I wouldn't be against that at all, but I'm not ready to call for blood when we've only seen 90 minutes of the season. "But it would be nice if our fans can draw a line under it and give him the support he needs to produce the performances that I as a manager and we as a team really need from him".
Iwobi, 23, underwent a medical in London, rather than travel to Merseyside, after agreeing a five-year deal. There is no question that he has any disrespect.
"I can't say to you that he's jubilant". The outcome he wanted was to be sold and leave, but it was the last thing we wanted.
"For us it's been a very good outcome because Wilf is still with us and we're looking forward to once again benefiting from the skills he brings to us to help us win football matches". As well as a proposed Chelsea move for the winger in January.
In theory an opportunity still exists for Zaha as transfer windows are open across Europe, and the Telegraph reports that German side Borussia Dortmund are said to be interested.
"January? Who knows? That's a long, long way off".
