Confirmed: Huawei Mate 30 To Officially Launch On 19 September

Huawei will launch the Mate 30 later this month

The company announced the launch date of the Huawei Mate 30 series - it is September 19, and the event will take place in Munich, Germany. The teaser image somewhat confirms what we've seen in the earlier leak which reveals a device with a round camera and a thick ring around it.

This was revealed by a leaked marketing material which has also unveiled the phone's round rear camera module and display notch.

The latest is that a Google spokesperson shed some doubt on the handset being able to ship with Google apps, but we're still expecting that the Mate 30 series will ship using EMUI 10, Huawei's own user interface that works on top of Android Q, now known as Android 10.

Afghan forces secure Kunduz after Taliban attack
In Kunduz, officials said the fighting started around 1 a.m. when Taliban militants advanced on the city from several directions. Rahimi said "hundreds of Taliban terrorists had been killed", but there was no way to immediately verify the claim.

Since Malaysia is a key market, the Huawei Mate 30 could go on sale locally by the end of this month.

Although the OS is expected to be Android Pie or Android 10, we are up for a surprise, since Huawei already introduced Harmony OS as a back-up variant of Googles platform if the talks between the USA and China dont yield a productive result.

After Huawei's trade ban extension ended in August, Google announced last week that Huawei's upcoming Mate series will not be powered by Android operating system. Recently, the company senior vice president Vincent Yang said that Huawei would like to maintain its current Android ecosystem on smartphones and will only use Harmony OS as a plan B in the case sanctions are again imposed on it.
