Several Florida theme parks announced closures Tuesday as Hurricane Dorian is expected to near Florida's east coast.

This Sunday, Jermaine Bell will turn 7, and after saving money for a birthday trip to Disney World, he decided his birthday cash was better spent helping those evacuated from the SC coast ahead of Hurricane Dorian, WJBF reports.

Disney World officials say its resorts will remain open.

Visitors will be relocated to other properties, including Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground, Copper Creek Cabins at Disney's Wilderness Lodge, Treehouse Villas at Disney's Saratoga Springs Resort, and Bungalows at Disney's Polynesian Village Resort, Local10 reported.

Disney's closures are the second set of adjustments the company has made in light of Dorian.

The Walt Disney Company, led by Disney Cruise Line, said Wednesday it has committed more than $1 million in cash and in-kind support to help relief and recovery efforts for those in the Bahamas affected by the storm.

SeaWorld Orlando officials said the park would be closed completely Tuesday.

"Our thoughts and prayers are with those impacted by Hurricane Dorian. The safety of our employees and guests is our number one priority", the park wrote on Facebook. But as Hurricane Dorian approached, the 6-year-old decided he wanted to use the money elsewhere.

The National Weather Service warned of hurricane-strength winds, several feet of storm surges and the risk of unsafe flash flooding along much of the Florida coastline in the coming days.
